NOPD Arrests Five In CBD Armed Robbery & Attempted Armed Robbery

New Orleans Police say they have arrested all the suspects in an armed robbery and attempted armed robbery in the CBD earlier this week.

All are teenagers -  four boys, two aged 13, the others 14 and 16. The other suspect is a 15-year-old female.

Detectives in the 8th District say the gang of 5 approached a man on Julia and O'Keefe. One showed a gun and demanded the victim hand over his wallet.

After that, they walked down to the 800 block of St. Charles, confronted two other victims with the gun and demanded they turn over their property.  When they refused and ran away, one suspect fired off a shot that grazed one of the victims in the neck.

The suspects face armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery by shooting charges.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111 or the 8th District at 658-6080.
